GStreamer integration with XBMC(Kodi)

Hi

I'm using STBT(STB Tester) for video testing automation from stand alone
source [local / internet videos]. currently the video is played on a
X-window but i don't have control over it. It would be good to perform
trickmodes, change subtitle, audio language, etc.

So, started searching on STB emulator to find a solution for this and found
XBMC(Kodi) would be the suitable linux emulator for video testing as we do
not have the physical devices (IPTV STB, video capture HW etc).

As STBT takes the video feed from GStreamer finding hard to feed XBMC UI to
GStreamer to establish the connectivity between XBMC(Kodi) to GStreamer
(STBT), and am blocked.

Could you pls help - how can we achieve the integration or connectivity
between GStreamer and XBMC(Kodi).

Thanks in advance

Thanks
Senthil

Unfortunately, I doubt anybody here can help you with that. This is
actually a XBMC/Kodi architectural question, not a GStreamer one. They
have their own playback framework, so I don't think they'd support this.
The question therefore is how to remove their player framework and
replace it with GStreamer, which sounds far from trivial.
